Ecotopia Newsletter (1-21 Aug. 2012, Flaeming Region (Germany)

Dear Ecotopia friends,

In 2 weeks from now our preparation camp "Ecotopia 2012" will start. As said it is more an preparation camp as a real Ecotopia, we expect about 25 till 30 people, who will not all arrive directly on the first day (1st August), so if you are still thinking to come be aware of that, by the way we will not start the "meetings" about who, how (and where) Ecotopia 2012 before the 4th of August. The first 3 days we will be more busy with building up the infrastructure of the camp.

The Ecotopia preparation 2012 will take place on the same site as the Int. Climate and Energy camp 2011 in Lausitz, which will start directly after our camp (7th till 14th August http://lausitzcamp.info) and during our camp also the infrastructure of the Climate-camp is build up (do not worry there will be also others be side us for creating the infra structure). Nevertheless before and even when the infrastructure stands it would be so luxurious as last years Ecotopia, so be prepared.

If you have a tent it is good to bring it with you, since especially in the first weeks there will not be so many extra tents as last year (we hope to build up the famous Ecotopia circus-tent during the first days, but there will not be this nice beds (and spare sleeping bags) as last years, so if you like to sleep "softly" you have to bring matress with you). For the rest take everything with you what you take with you on a "normal" camp or vacation (Remember also rain and warm clothes are maybe not bad). Futheron ofcourse musikintsrument are welcome, good spirit, materials about actions and a lot of good ideas.

The first week (Ecotopia) cost a daily donation for the food (just give what you can miss), but for the Climate-camp the organisers hope with a donation of at least 10 euro per day (for food and camp (if that is to much for you help in the Kitchen :-)).

Janschwalde where the camp take place is very easy to reach by public transport (it lays very near to Cottbus, which is at the border to Poland). And in the area there is a lot of browncoalmining (that's why the Climate camp is taking place there).

Liebe Ecotopia Freunde,

In 2 Wochen startet unsere „Ecotopia 2012 Vorbereitung Camp“. Wie gesagt, es ist eher eine Vorbereitung camp als eine echte Ecotopia gathering, wir erwarten deshalb nicht viel mehr als etwa 25 bis 30 Menschen, die auch nicht alle direkt am ersten Tag (1. August) anreisen werden, wenn Sie also immer noch daran denken zu kommen, kannst du sicher sein dass wir unsere "Meetings" darüber, wer, wie (und wo) Ecotopia 2012 nicht vor dem 4. August anfangen. Die ersten 3 Tage werden wir mehr beschäftigt sein mit dem Aufbau der Infrastruktur des Lagers.

Die Ecotopia Vorbereitung 2012 findet auf dem gleichen Gelände wie das International Klima-und Energie Camp 2011 in der Lausitz, die direkt nach unserem treffen startet (7. bis 14. August http://lausitzcamp.info)
und wir bauen auch während unseres treffen die Infrastruktur von Klimacamp auf (keine Sorge, es werden auch andere Leute da sein die spezial für die Aufbau kommen). Trotzdem vor und selbst wenn die Infrastruktur steht wird es nicht so luxes als letzten Jahr Ecotopia.

Wenn Sie ein Zelt haben, ist es gut, ihn mitzunehmen, da vor allem in den erste Woche wird es nicht so viele zusätzliche Zelte wie im letzte Jahr geben (wir hoffen mit den Aufbau von unsere berühmten Ecotopia Zirkuszelt in den ersten Tagen, aber es wir werden nicht von diese schöne Betten (und ErsatzSchlafsäcke) haben wie letzte Jahre, wenn Sie "weich" schlafen willst muss du dass selbst ein „isomatte oder so“ mitnehmen). Weiteres soll alles andere auch mitnehmen, was sie auf eine "normale" Camp oder Urlaub mitnehmen wurden (Denken Sie auch daran regen und warme Kleidung ist vielleicht nicht schlecht). Und naturlich musikintsrumenten, gute laune, info uber aktionen und viel gute pläne.

Die erste Woche (Ecotopia) Kosten einer täglichen Spende für das Essen (nur spende, was man vermissen kann), aber für das Klimacamp hoffen die Organisatoren mit einer Spende von mindestens 10 € pro Tag (für Lebensmittel- und Camp (wenn es das ist zu viel für sie kannst du vielleicht in der Küche mithelfen oder andersins die nütlich machen:-)).

Jänschwalde, wo der campplatz ist sehr einfach mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen (es legt ganz in der Nähe Cotbuss, die an der Polinische Grenze liegt). Und in der Gegend gibt es eine Menge von braunkohletagebau (deshalb der Climate Camp findet dort).
